Why is Kongress so intent on saving a failed Auto Institution /
Ah hell, don't be stupid !
Their intention is to protect the Campaign Piggy bank, notably, the UAW.
The Union is all over congress with the IOU's from elections past, and being the greedy institutionalised bastards they are, they are more than willing to make sure the Unions don't get marginalized through an Auto Industry reorganization (chapter 11)in which Union contracts will most definitely be rewritten to the financial detriment of anyone pro Union!
I guess there is nothing more to say. This may not be the "CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN" that you were promised but albeit it's the only CHANGE YOU"RE GONNA GET .
C'mon, really, you didn't fall for all that campaign rhetoric did you (sign of real desperation to actually hire a rain man with a divining rod)?
