Obama's Won!

Sorry folks but I've had it!
First off, McCain shouldn't have been the Republican choice. He was chosen and we tried to make the best of it.

And what's with the Obama "Change" thing?
Why is it that every time I cross paths with a black guy he wants my change?

The only change, you as a tax payer is going to get from an Obama regime, is a mugging, literally! This will be reminiscent of South Africa after apartheid!
Get your passports in order. Hide your wives and daughters!

There were fresher, more experienced, in more ways, candidates. But pecking order took hold and you got another, cant speak without a prompter, can't really speak, old, mentally shallow with speech attributes stuck on one track - war experience and one whom allows his handlers to make him over into a robot - like they're doing to Palin!

They bring in a fireball and then put the fire out by smothering her.
Then you have a financial crisis whose opportunity to fix is totally mismanaged by the GOP. And the slaughter began, through the press, of the GOP's footmen who couldn't fightback, couldn't even state their case in an intelligent manner.

You have a besieged president with dementia hiding away and signing on to wall street has beens (now in Government positions) half baked schemes to rob and defraud the public into a assuming financial responsibility - post haste - for the sins of the Government.
The Bailout Bill just passed last night in the Senate and will be voted on by the House. You always have to be suspect when the Democrats and a Democratic-leaning Treasury Secretary trying to cover his butt cry that we have financial Armageddon if we don’t have almost one TRILLION dollars right now!
The House must not pass this porked out pig of a bill. Millions, almost a billion dollars will be going to a demokrats kids bow and arrow factory. It includes part of the profits being allocated to ACORN, the National Urban League, and LaRaza?
Democrats just want more money for their left-wing political constituents.
“Directs a certain percentage of future profits to the Affordable Housing Fund and the Capital Magnet Fund to meet America’s housing needs.”

Millions for Puerto Rico Tax Extenders ?

Many may already know that ACORN ( The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) is under investigation in several states for voter fraud. They have been caught turning in hundreds of thousands of fake voter registration cards in an effort to stuff ballot boxes with fake voters and pump up Democrat vote totals. ACORN’s founder also tried to cover up an embezzlement scheme his little brother perpetrated when he stole $1 million dollars of the organization’s money. This has only lately come to light.
…..What we have here, essentially, is Obama using a non-profit group called Citizens Services Inc. as a front to funnel payments to ACORN for campaign advance work…..

……FEC reports show that from February-May 2008, Obama paid $832,598.29 to CSI…..
….(and from the Consumer Rights League) “ACORN has a long and sordid history of employing convoluted Enron-style accounting to illegally use taxpayer funds for their own political gain. Now it looks like ACORN is using the same type of convoluted accounting scheme for Obama’s political gain.”……
Of course, many are also aware of the race oriented Hispanic La Raza group that has been a major player in trying to allow illegal aliens to enter the U.S., vote in our elections, and take freely of schools and social welfare monies.
The National Urban League (NUL), formerly known as the National League of black men and women, is a civil rights organization based in New York City that advocates on behalf of African Americans and against racial discrimination in the United States.

You had the first House vote go down in flames with one third of house demokrats, the Black Caucus, lead by Jesse Jackson Jr not voting for it and then jumping up the Republicans leg for voting it down when they could have had it in the bag with their own numbers!

They have run around the end of the Republicans, who I'm convinced can't get out of their own way and are going to crumble under the demokrats feet!

McCain is thru - finito..

You who vote for Obama will get what you want and I hope to hell you're going to be sorry for it !

Every one of the Congressmen and Senators should be thrown out post haste before any more treason is crammed down our throats. In the name of dire emergency of course!

A Clinton Rewrite And The Birth Of The Subprime Crisis; Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in the early 1990s, weren't the quasi-government monster they'd later be.

In 1977 President Carter signed the Community Reinvestment Act, which led Fannie and Freddie to aggressively lend to minority communities. Even though it was Clinton who really pushed the process. After becoming President in 1993, he began rewriting Fannie's and Freddie's rules. In so doing, he turned the two mortgage-funding firms into a competitively unfair, quasi-private, government backed monopoly that dispensed cash to markets a few percentage points cheaper and made loans to large Democratic voting blocs, gave out favors, jobs and money to political allies. This potent mix led inevitably to corruption and the Fannie-Freddie collapse.

Despite warnings of trouble at Fannie and Freddie Greenspan and others, in 1994 Clinton unveiled his National Home ownership Strategy or the "chicken in every pot" program, which broadened the CRA in ways Congress never intended and in which the chickens have come home to roost - pardon the pun!

Addressing the National Association of Realtors that year, Clinton bluntly told the group that "more Americans should own their own homes."
Clinton saw home ownership as a way to open the door for blacks and other minorities to enter the middle class. Which gave birth to grassroots socialist activist groups such as A.C.O.R.N. and empowered people such as Barak Obama.

Though well-intended, the problem was that Congress was about to change hands, from the Democrats to the Republicans. Rather than submit legislation that the GOP-led Congress was almost sure to reject, Clinton ordered Robert Rubin's Treasury Department to rewrite the rules in 1995.

The rewrite, as City Journal noted back in 2000, "made getting a satisfactory CRA rating harder." Banks were given strict new numerical quotas and measures for the level of "diversity" in their loan portfolios. Getting a good CRA rating was key for a bank that wanted to expand or merge with another.

Loans started being made on the basis of race, and often little else.
"Bank examiners would use federal home-loan data, broken down by neighborhood, income group and race, to rate banks on performance," wrote Howard Husock, a scholar at the Manhattan Institute.
But those rules weren't enough.

Clinton got the Department of Housing and Urban Development to double-team the issue. That would later prove disastrous.

Clinton's HUD secretary, Andrew Cuomo, "made a series of decisions between 1997 and 2001 that gave birth to the country's current crisis," the liberal Village Voice noted. Among those decisions were changes that let Fannie and Freddie get into subprime loan markets in a big way.

Other rule changes gave Fannie and Freddie extraordinary leverage, allowing them to hold just 2.5% of capital to back their investments, vs. 10% for banks.

Since they could borrow at lower rates than banks due to implicit government guarantees for their debt, the government-sponsored enterprises boomed.
With incentives in place, banks poured billions of dollars of loans into poor communities, often "no doc" and "no income" loans that required no money down and no verification of income - there's those chickens again!

By 2007, Fannie and Freddie owned or guaranteed nearly half of the $12 trillion U.S. mortgage market — a staggering exposure.
Worse still was the cronyism.
The Clinton administration budget director Franklin Raines sat in the CEO chair. Under Raines' leadership, Fannie overstated earnings by a stunning $10.6 billion, all the while paying Raines and his senior management team massive bonuses.Raines pulled in some $90 million between 1998 and 2003, the majority from bonuses. And when OFHEO began to ask uncomfortable questions, Raines actively lobbied Congress to cut its funding. In April, Raines agreed to disburse $24 million for his role in the accounting "errors."

Fannie and Freddie became home to out-of-work politicians, mostly Clinton Democrats . Daniel H. Mudd, the departing head of Fannie Mae, stands to collect $9.3 million in severance pay, retirement benefits and deferred compensation, provided his dismissal is deemed to be “without cause,” according to an analysis by the consulting firm James F. Reda & Associates. Mr. Mudd has already taken home $12.4 million in cash compensation and stock option gains since becoming chief executive in 2004, according to an analysis by Equilar, an executive pay research firm.

Richard F. Syron, the departing chief executive of Freddie Mac, could receive an exit package of at least $14.1 million, largely because of a clause added to his employment contract in mid-July as his company’s troubles deepened. He has taken home $17.1 million in pay and stock option gains since becoming chief executive in 2003. It's also interesting that Senator Barney Frank, back in 2003 (I just saw the video on FOX NEWS) stated that Freddie and Fannie were in good fiscal order when he had to know they were in deep. Many, according to FOX NEWS emails coming in right now, are calling for B.Franks head on a platter! Now that Fannie Mae is at the epicenter of a financial meltdown that threatens the U.S. economy, some are raising new questions about Frank's relationship with Herb Moses, who was Fannie’s assistant director for product initiatives. Moses worked at the government-sponsored enterprise from 1991 to 1998, while Frank was on the House Banking Committee, which had jurisdiction over Fannie.

Dan Gainor, vice president of the Business & Media Institute. "He was voting on Fannie Mae at a time when he was involved with a Fannie Mae executive. How is that not germane?
"C’mon, he writes housing and banking laws and his boyfriend is a top exec at a firm that stands to gain from those laws?" the aide told FOX News. "No media ever takes note? Imagine what would happen if Frank’s political affiliation was R instead of D? Imagine what the media would say if [GOP former] Chairman [Mike] Oxley’s wife or [GOP presidential nominee John] McCain’s wife was a top exec at Fannie for a decade while they wrote the nation’s housing and banking laws."

Then there were the campaign donations. From 1989 to 2008, some 384 politicians like Barak Obama who was the second largest recipient of contributions who got their campaign accounts filled by Fannie and Freddie . Over that time, the two GSEs spent $200 million on lobbying and political activities. Their charitable foundations dropped millions more on think tanks and radical community groups such as A.C.O.R.N.(accused of voter registration fraud and a "low income, no down payment, no doc/liar loan mortgage debacle. It's unbelievably that they, A.C.O.R.N., are listed by the Democratic Senate to get 20% off the top of the $700 billion "bailout" money for more of their shenanigans) - isn't this where the subprime mess originated ?

If measured by the goal of putting more poor people into homes, which many, because of the "Flip This House" phenomena on television that showcased people buying with short term (ARM's)loans, slapping some paint on, and putting it back up for sale before the teaser rate bumped higher thereby reaping huge rewards, then the answer would have to be yes even though, now, they are all going back to the banks as defaults and the mortgages themselves mixed in with good loans have been sold off to banks which is why the banks won't transact with one another because they don't know how much of the toxic loans are in the packages. Congress and the Administration are falling all over themselves in failed deal making to figure out how to bail out Wall Street and the banks to get things moving again - it ain't pretty!

From 1995 to 2005, a Harvard study shows, minorities made up 49% or one half of the 12.5 million new homeowners.
The problem is that many of those loans have now gone bad, and minority home ownership rates are shrinking fast and the economy, globally, are in fear of collapse threatening retirement plans and savings worldwide.

Fannie and Freddie, with their massive loan portfolios stuffed with securitized mortgage-backed paper created from subprime loans are choking the credit markets to a complete halt and are a failed legacy of the Clinton era.

Financial Crisis

Bar Stool Economics:
Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:
The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
The fifth would pay $1.
The sixth would pay $3.
The seventh would pay $7.
The eighth would pay $12.
The ninth would pay $18.
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.
So, that's what they decided to do. The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve. 'Since you are all such good customers, he said, 'I'm going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20. Drinks for the ten now cost just $80.
The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes so the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free. But what about the other six men - the paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his 'fair share?' They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody's share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer. So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.
And so:
The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings).
The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%savings).
The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28%savings).
The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings).
The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings).
The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).
Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to drink for free. But once outside the restaurant the men began to compare their savings.
'I only got a dollar out of the $20,'declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man,' but he got $10!'
'Yeah, that's right,' exclaimed the fifth man. 'I only saved a dollar, too. It's unfair that he got ten times more than I!'
'That's true!!' shouted the seventh man. 'Why should he get $10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!'
'Wait a minute,' yelled the first four men in unison. 'We didn't get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!'
The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.
The next night the tenth man didn't show up for drinks, so the nine sat down and had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn't have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill!
And that, boys and girls, journalists and college professors, is how our tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.

OBAMA ADVISOR JIM JOHNSON FORMER FANNIE MAE AND LEHMAN BROTHERS EXECUTIVES EXPANDED LOBBYING ACTIVITIES AND RECEIVED MILLIONS IN COMPENSATION

Former CEO Of Fannie Mae And Former Obama Advisor Jim Johnson Resigned Under Criticism:

Jim Johnson Is The Former CEO Of Fannie Mae. (David A. Vise, "Fannie Mae Lobbies Hard To Protect Its Tax Break," The Washington Post, 1/16/95)

"Jim Johnson, The Former Chairman Of Fannie Mae Who Was One Of Three Advisors Tapped By Democrat Barack Obama To Vet Vice Presidential Candidates, Resigned Today After Questions Were Raised About Favoritism He May Have Received From Countrywide Financial Corp." (Johanna Neuman, "Barack Obama Advisor Jim Johnson Quits Under Fire," Los Angeles Times, 6/12/08)

Johnson Remains A Bundler For Obama's Presidential Campaign And Has Committed To Raising $100,000 To $200,000. (Obama For America Website, www.barackobama.com, Accessed 5/19/08)

Johnson Earned Large Bonuses At Fannie Mae Due To An Accounting Manipulation:

In 1998, Fannie Mae's Earnings Were Manipulated, Which Resulted In "Maximum Payouts" To Executives Including CEO Jim Johnson. "As CEO of Fannie Mae, Johnson, a former chief of staff to Vice President Walter F. Mondale and chairman of the board of the Kennedy Center, was the beneficiary of accounting in which Fannie Mae's earnings were manipulated so that executives could earn larger bonuses. The accounting manipulation for 1998 resulted in the maximum payouts to Fannie Mae's senior executives -- $1.9 million in Johnson's case -- when the company's performance that year would have otherwise resulted in no bonuses at all, according to reports in 2004 and 2006 by the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight." (Jonathan Weisman and David S. Hilzenrath, "Obama 's Choice Of Insider Draws Fire," The Washington Post, 6/11/08)

The Manipulation Resulted In Johnson Receiving A Bonus Of Over $1.9 Million When He Otherwise Would Not Have Earned A Bonus. "An Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight report in September accused the company of improperly deferring $200 million of estimated expenses in 1998, which allowed management to receive full annual bonuses. Had the expenses been recorded that year, no bonuses would have been paid, the report said. Fannie Mae reported paying bonuses in 1998 to Johnson, who received $1.932 million; Raines, who then was chairman-designate, $1.11 million; Chief Operating Officer Lawrence M. Small, $1.108 million; Vice Chairman Jamie S. Gorelick, a former deputy attorney general, $779,625; Chief Financial Officer J. Timothy Howard, $493,750; and Robert J. Levin, who was executive vice president for housing and community development, $493,750." (Albert B. Crenshaw, "High Pay At Fannie Mae For The Well-Connected," The Washington Post, 12/23/04)
Johnson Also Received Fees And Compensation From Fannie Mae Worth $3.3 Million Between 2001 And 2006. "Johnson left the company before it was swept up in an accounting scandal that tarred its reputation, but even during the years of scandal, Johnson was reaping hundreds of thousands of dollars in consulting fees and other compensation, $3.3 million in all between 2001 and 2006." (Jonathan Weisman and David S. Hilzenrath, "Obama's Choice Of Insider Draws Fire," The Washington Post, 6/11/08)

Fannie Mae Incorrectly Reported Losses That Allowed Johnson To Receive A Large Bonus For The Year:

In 1998, Fannie Mae Improperly Deferred $200 Million Dollars In Expenses, Which Allowed Johnson To Receive Nearly $2 Million In Bonuses; Johnson Would Not Have Received A Bonus If The Money Had Been Properly Expensed. Levin, who was executive vice president for housing an d community development, $493,750." (Albert B. Crenshaw, "High Pay At Fannie Mae For The Well-Connected," The Washington Post, 12/23/04)

Johnson Engineered An Effort To Lobby Politicians So That Fannie Mae Would Not Have To Pay Local Taxes To Washington, D.C.:

While Johnson Was CEO, Fannie Mae Did Not Have To Pay Washington D.C. Taxes Which Cost The City Hundreds Of Millions Per Year. "While Wall Street benefits from Fannie Mae's prosperity, the District government does not. Fannie Mae, the biggest, most profitable company in Washington, is exempt from local income taxes. That exemption costs the cash-strapped D.C. government hundreds of millions of dollars a year." (David A. Vise, "The Financial Giant That's In Our Midst," The Washington Post, 1/15/95)

"If Fannie Mae Were Required To Pay Taxes, It Would Wipe Out The District's Budget Deficit." (David A. Vise, "The Financial Giant That's In Our Midst," The Washington Post, 1/15/95)
Johnson Said That Fannie Mae Was "The Most Powerful Financial Firm In America" And He Urged Employees To Oppose Any New Taxes On The Company. "There is no reason they shouldn't be subject to the tax," said former House District Committee chairman Pete Stark. "It is not fair. They make huge profits," the California Democrat said. The tax break is one of numerous congressionally conferred advantages that Fannie Mae officials preserve through a polished political operation directed by Jim Johnson, the company's chairman and chief executive. In a talk with employees, Johnson described Fannie Mae as 'the most powerful financial firm in America.' He wants Fannie Mae employees to oppose forcefully any ne w effort to tax the company." (David A. Vise, "The Financial Giant That's In Our Midst," The Washington Post, 1/15/95)
Johnson Devised A Strategy To Lobby D.C. Politicians So That Fannie Mae Would Not Have To Pay Local Taxes. "Last summer, D.C. Councilman Bill Lightfoot discovered a simple solution to the District's financial crisis: eliminate a $ 300-million-a-year tax break for the city's most profitable company, Fannie Mae. 'I believe Fannie Mae ought to pay local taxes,' Lightfoot said. 'It practically solves the city's financial crisis in one year. There is no public policy reason to exempt them. It is not fair.' Inside Fannie Mae's sprawling Wisconsin Avenue headquarters, Lightfoot's proposal set off alarms. A team of executives led by chief executive Jim Johnson and Vice Chairman Frank Raines gathered around the firm's 34-foot-long boardroom table to dec ide how to respond. They devised a bold strategy: Use the company's considerable resources and political clout to prevent Lightfoot's proposal from being voted on or publicly debated by council members, whom they feared would support the tax if it got on the agenda. 'The task was to keep it from ever seeing the light of day,' said Frederick D. Cooke Jr., one of the highly regarded lobbyists Fannie Mae hired to quash the proposal. 'What we didn't want to do was have a big public debate about this.'" (David A. Vise, "Fannie Mae Lobbies Hard To Protect Its Tax Break," The Washington Post, 1/16/95)

"In Addition To Enlisting The Lobbying Help Of The Local Charitable Groups It Supported, Fannie Mae Hired A Team Of Top Lobbyists To Persuade D.C. Politicians To Drop The Tax Proposal Without A Vote." (David A. Vise, "Fannie Mae Lobbies Hard To Protect Its Tax Break," The Washington Post, 1/16/95)
In 1998, Johnson Opened A Lobbying Office For Fannie Mae In Oklahoma:

In 1998, Johnson, Then-CEO Of Fannie Mae, Hosted The Opening Ceremony Of A Lobbying Office In Oklahoma. "The concern is whether such efforts were made to bolster Fannie's business more than to advance philanthropic goals. Critics say the foundation helped to reinforce ties with various congressional groups forged by Fannie's in-house lobbyists. At times the two seemed indistinguishable: They often sponsored events in tandem. Both were big donors to the CBCF's annual awards gala in 2003 and a similar black-tie event for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute in 2002. In 1998, then-CEO Jim Johnson hosted the opening ceremony of a lobbying and public relations office in Oklahoma, an event attended by former Oklahoma Governor Frank Keating and then-Senator Don Nickles (R-Okla.). But wearing his other hat as the foundation's chairman, Johnson al so took the opportunity to announce $125,000 worth of grants to local charities." (Dawn Kopecki, "Philanthropy, Fannie Mae Style," Business Week, 4/2/07)

Johnson Recruited Current Obama Economic Policy Advisor Former Commerce Secretary William Daley As A Lobbyist For Fannie Mae:

Former Commerce Secretary William Daley Serves As An Obama Advisor For Economic Policy. "At his stop in New Mexico, Obama sought to keep the focus almost exclusively on the economy, appearing with a panel of experts that included William Daley, brother of Chicago Mayor Richard Daley and a former U.S. commerce secretary." (John McCormick and Jill Zuckman, "Rivals Spend Day As Frequent Fliers," Chicago Tribune, 2/2/08)

Former Fannie Mae CEO Jim Johnson Recruited Former Sec. Daley As A Lobbyist For Fannie Mae. "Fannie's government relations operations dramatically expanded in the mid-1990s, when then-CEO Johnson recruited Washington A-listers Robert Zoellick, who served in the Reagan and Bush administrations; Lawrence M. Small, former secretary of the Smithsonian Institution; and William M. Daley, commerce secretary in the Clinton administration." (Lisa Lerer, "Fannie, Freddie Spent $200M To Buy Influence," The Politico, 7/16/08)

From 2002 Through 2005, Daley Was A Registered Lobbyist For Fannie Mae. (U.S. Senate Office Of Public Records Website, soprweb.senate.gov, Accessed 7/27/08)

Before Heading Fannie Mae, Johnson Was A Registered Foreign Agent For Lehman Brothers:

In The 1980s, Johnson Worked For Shearson Lehman Brothers. "In the early 1980s Johnson had already started his own Washington consulting company, Public Strategies, with his Carter administration colleague Richard Holbrooke. And now he followed Holbrooke to Wall Street as an investment banker at Shearson Lehman Brothers." (Lloyd Grove, "The Big Chair," The Washington Post, 3/27/98)

OBAMA ADVISOR FRANK RAINES: FORMER FANNIE MAE CEO INVOLVED IN ACCOUNTING SCANDAL

Obama Has Solicited Advice From Former Fannie Mae CEO Franklin Raines Who Was "Under The Shadow Of A $6.3 Billion Accounting Scandal":

The Obama Campaign Has Solicited Franklin Raines, Who "Stepped Down As Fannie Mae's Chief Executive Under The Shadow Of A $6.3 Billion Accounting Scandal," For Advice On Mortgage And Housing Policy. "In the four years since he stepped down as Fannie Mae's chief executive under the shadow of a $6.3 billion accounting scandal, Franklin D. Raines has been quietly constructing a new life for himself. He has shaved eight points off his golf handicap, taken a corner office in Steve Case's D.C. conglomeration of finance, entertainment and health-care companies and more recently, taken calls from Barack Obama's presidential campaign seeking his advice on mortgage and housing policy matters." (Anita Huslin, "On The Outside Now, Watching Fannie Falter," The Washington Post, 7/16/08)

Like Jim Johnson, Raines Received Low-Rate Home Loans From Countrywide, A Major Seller To Fannie Mae. "Fannie Mae's former CEO, Jim Johnson, resigned Wednesday as the leader of likely Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama's search for a running mate after The Wall Street Journal reported that he and another former CEO, Franklin Raines, received low-rate home loans from troubled mortgage lender Countrywide Financial Corp. a major seller of home loans to Fannie Mae." (Alan Zibel, "Fannie Mae CEO Says Ethics Policy Bans Discounts," The Associated Press, 6/12/08)

Former Fannie Mae Chairman Frank Raines Was Accused Of Manipulating The Company's Earnings. "Former Fannie Mae chairman and chief executive Franklin D. Raines, accused of manipulating the housing finance company's earnings, is challenging regulators to make their case against him beginning Feb. 16 instead of waiting until the end of the year." (David S. Hilzenrath, "Fannie Mae's Former Chief Wants Earlier Hearing Date," The Washington Post, 2/6/07)

Raines Was Forced Out As Fannie Mae's CEO In December 2004. "Former chief executive Franklin D. Raines and chief financial officer J. Timothy Howard were forced out Tuesday night after accounting mistakes that could cost Fannie $9 billion in reported profit." (David S. Hilzenrath, "Fannie Mae Exit Packages Face Review," The Washington Post, 12/23/04)

Under Raines' Leadership, Fannie Mae Committed "Extensive Financial Fraud" And Was Forced To Pay A $400 Million Civil Penalty. "In a May report, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight found that Fannie Mae under Raines perpetrated 'extensive financial fraud' so that executives could collect big bonuses. There have been no criminal charges, but the conduct of Raines and other senior Fannie executives 'was inconsistent with the values of responsibility, accountability, and integrity,' the agencies said. Fannie paid a $400 million civil penalty this year to the SEC and OFHEO." (Jay Hancock, Op-Ed, "Raines Claiming Accountability Isn't Enough," The [Baltimore] Sun, 12/10/06)

OBAMA DEMOCRATS BLOCKED REFORM OF FANNIE MAE AND FREDDIE MAC

Sen. John McCain Urged Action Years Ago To Reform Fannie Mae And Freddie Mac:

John McCain Urged Action More Than 2 Years Ago, Co-Sponsoring Legislation To Reform Fannie Mae And Freddie Mac Warning: "If Congress Does Not Act, American Taxpayers Will Continue To Be Exposed To The Enormous Risk That Fannie Mae And Freddie Mac Pose To The Housing Market, The Overall Financial System, And The Economy As A Whole." McCain: "I join as a cosponsor of the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005, S. 190, to underscore my support for quick passage of GSE regulatory reform legislation. If Congress does not act, American taxpayers will continue to be exposed to the enormous risk that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pose to the housing market, the overall financial system, and the economy as a whole." (Office Of U.S. Senator John McCain, "McCain Statement On Co-Sponsorship Of The Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act Of 2005," Press Release, 5/26/06)

For Years, Obama Supporters In Congressional Oversight Committees Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) And Sens. Chris Dodd (D-CT) And Chuck Schumer (D-NY) Blocked Efforts To Reform Fannie Mae And Freddie Mac:

"The Powerhouse Democratic Overseers Of The Banking Committees -- Rep. Barney Frank, Sen. Christopher Dodd And Sen. Chuck Schumer -- Protected Fannie And Freddie." (Robert Novak, Op-Ed, "Crony Image Dogs Paulson's Rescue Effort," Chicago Sun-Times, 7/17/08)

Frank Blocked Multiple Attempts At Reform Spanning Back To 1992:

"[Frank's] Record Is Close To Perfect As A Stalwart Opponent Of Reforming The Two Companies, Going Back More Than A Decade. The First Concerted Push To Rein In Fan And Fred In Congress Came As Far Back As 1992, And Mr. Frank Was Right There, Standing Athwart. But Things Really Picked Up This Decade, And Barney Was There At Every Turn." (Editorial, "Fannie Mae's Patron Saint," The Wall Street Journal, 9/10/08)

"In 2000, Then-Rep. Richard Baker Proposed A Bill To Reform Fannie And Freddie's Oversight. Mr. Frank Dismissed The Idea, Saying Concerns About The Two Were 'Overblown' And That There Was 'No Federal Liability There Whatsoever.'" (Editorial, "Fannie Mae's Patron Saint," The Wall Street Journal, 9/10/08)

"Two Years Later, Mr. Frank Was At It Again. 'I Do Not Regard Fannie Mae And Freddie Mac As Problems,' He Said In Response To Another Reform Push. And Then: 'I Regard Them As Great Assets.'" (Editorial, "Fannie Mae's Patron Saint," The Wall Street Journal, 9/10/08)

"Again In June 2003, The Favorite Of The Beltway Press Corps Assured The Public That 'There Is No Federal Guarantee' Of Fan And Fred Obligations." (Editorial, "Fannie Mae's Patron Saint," The Wall Street Journal, 9/10/08)

"A Month Later, Freddie Mac's Multibillion-Dollar Accounting Scandal Broke Into The Open. But Mr. Frank Was Sanguine. 'I Do Not Think We Are Facing Any Kind Of A Crisis,' He Said At The Time." (Editorial, "Fannie Mae's Patron Saint," The Wall Street Journal, 9/10/08)

"Three Months Later He Repeated The Claim That Fannie And Freddie Posed No 'Threat To The Treasury.' Even Suggesting That Heresy, He Added, Could Become 'A Self-Fulfilling Prophecy.'" (Editorial, "Fannie Mae's Patron Saint," The Wall Street Journal, 9/10/08)

"In April 2004, Fannie Announced A Multibillion-Dollar Financial 'Misstatement' Of Its Own. Mr. Frank Was Back For The Defense. Fannie And Freddie Posed No Risk To Taxpayers, He Said, Adding That 'I Think Wall Street Will Get Over It' If The Two Collapsed." (Editorial, "Fannie Mae's Patron Saint," The Wall Street Journal, 9/10/08)

Dodd Led Efforts To Block Reform Of Fannie Mae And Freddie Mac:

Obama Joined Sen. Dodd, Sen. Kerry, And Sen. Clinton - All Top Recipients Of Fannie And Freddie Contributions In Actively Opposing Reform Measures And Weakening Existing Regulations. "During this period, Sen. Richard Shelby led a small group of legislators favoring reform, including fellow Republican Sens. John Sununu, Chuck Hagel and Elizabeth Dole. Meanwhile, Dodd -- who along with Democratic Sens. John Kerry, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton were the top four recipients of Fannie and Freddie campaign contributions from 1988 to 2008 -- actively opposed such measures and further weakened existing regulation." (Al Hubbard and Noam Neusner, Op-Ed, "Where Was Sen. Dodd?" The Washington Post, 9/12/08)

Sen. Dodd Called The President's Suggestions For Regulations "Inane" And Recommended The President "Immediately Reconsider His Ill-Advised" Proposals. "As recently as last summer, when housing prices had clearly peaked and the mortgage market had started to seize up, Dodd called on Bush to 'immediately reconsider his ill-advised' reform proposals. Frank, now chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, said that the president's suggestion for a strong, independent regulator of Fannie and Freddie was 'inane.'" (Al Hubbard and Noam Neusner, Op-Ed, "Where Was Sen. Dodd?" The Washington Post, 9/12/08)

Dodd Called On The Regulator For Fannie Mae And Freddie Mac To Lift Portfolio Caps. "Both Schumer and Christopher J. Dodd, D-Conn., the chairman of the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee, have called on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac's regulator to lift the portfolio caps. They argue that allowing the two firms to buy more mortgages, at least temporarily, would inject much needed liquidity into the market and calm the financial markets." (Michael R. Crittenden, "Schumer Will Seek To Lift Cap On Mortgage Portfolios Of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac," Congressional Quarterly Today, 8/16/07)

NOTE: Dodd Was The Top Recipient Of Contributions From Fannie Mae And Freddie Mac:

Since 1989, Dodd Has Received At Least $165,400 From Fannie Mae And Freddie Mac: $48,500 From PACs And $116,900 From Individuals, Receiving More Than Any Other Politician. (Lindsay Renick Mayer, "Fannie Mae And Freddie Mac Invest In Lawmakers," Center For Responsive Politics' "Capital Eye" Blog, www.opensecrets.org, 9/11/08)

Schumer Led Efforts To Block Reform Of Fannie Mae And Freddie Mac:

Schumer Called On The Regulator For Fannie Mae And Freddie Mac To Lift Portfolio Caps.

Rep. Frank And Sens. Schumer And Dodd Protected Fannie Mae And Freddie Mac. "The powerhouse Democratic overseers of the banking committees -- Rep. Barney Frank, Sen. Christopher Dodd and Sen. Chuck Schumer -- protected Fannie and Freddie." (Robert Novak, Op-Ed, "Crony Image Dogs Paulson's Rescue Effort," Chicago Sun-Times, 7/17/08)

After The Subprime Housing Crisis Began, Schumer Advocated Raising The Cap On What Fannie Mae And Freddie Mac Could Lend. "Even last September, as the subprime housing crisis began to metastasize and the market was expressing concerns about the pair, Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), the powerful chair of the Senate banking subcommittee on housing, had the very bad (and ultimately rejected) idea of raising the cap on what Fannie and Freddie could lend by 10 percent. Since then the companies have reported losses of $11 billion, and there's uncertainty about just how much more damage there will be from future defaults." (Editorial, "We Can't Say No, But We Can Regulate Them," [New York] Newsday, 7/20/08)

Despite Reports Of Fraudulent Accounting, Schumer Opposed Creating A Strong Regulator For Fannie Mae And Freddie Mac In 2004. "Even after Freddie Mac was shown to have manipulated earnings, Congress remained deadlocked over legislation to create a stronger regulator. Opposing one such bill in 2004, Sen. Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) argued that a hostile regulator could use the proposed powers to choke the companies." (David S. Hilzenrath, "Fannie, Freddie Deflected Risk Warnings," The Washington Post, 7/14/08)

Channon Christian 21, 23-year-old boyfriend Christopher Newsom

Critics say the liberal news media are ignoring Knoxville, Tennessee, couple slaying.

I've written in here (somewhere) about this shortly after it happened January 16th 2007 and havnt really followed it much since, not until the election campagns and the Barak Obama connections too Jeremiah Wright, Nation of Islams Lewis Farakhan and Underground Weathermen bomber Ayers came about.

I don't think anyone will see anyway this because there seems to be some serious blackout issues (from the top)not only in the mainstream media where this case is concerned, but Google , who now owns and controls "EBlogger" is not the poster child for FREE SPEACH (refer to Google in China ). I havn't been able to locate my old articles regarding this issue. And am now wondering if some other articles may have been removed as well - will investigate, it's good to go over past posts anyway, from time to time !

KNOXVILLE, Tennessee: In a powerful demonstration of the way the Internet has opened up the mainstream media to intensive second-guessing, bloggers are charging that U.S. news outlets have ignored the rape and murder of a young Knoxville couple because of the racial implications of the story.

The two victims were white; the five defendants are black.

The critics include mainstream conservatives, such as the National Review, and white supremacists. They have drawn comparisons to the Duke University lacrosse rape case and wondered why the killings of Channon Christian, a 21-year-old University of Tennessee student, and her 23-year-old boyfriend Christopher Newsom are not getting the same attention from what the bloggers regard sneeringly as the liberal media.

"Oh, that's right, the victims were WHITE!" several conservative blogs have observed.

Among the bloggers who have questioned the media coverage is country singer Charlie Daniels.
"I am not going to call it reverse racism," said Daniels,(being nauseatingly Politically Correct) who has written on his Web page about how little he has heard of the case in Nashville, about 150 miles (244 kilometers) west of Knoxville. "But I will say it is very selective. (someone got to him and made him tone down his response!)
"There may be five stories in the country that could possibly have been more important than that one during the time it was going on," he said. "It is totally, completely unfair to the memory of these young people not to inform people about what happened to them."
Christian and Newsom were last seen Jan. 6. They were carjacked as they were leaving a friend's apartment. Newsom's shot and burned body was found the next day along the railroad tracks, and Christian's corpse was discovered two days later in a trash can at a house rented by one of the defendants. Both had been sexually assaulted. Household cleaner had been poured down her throat to remove DNA evidence, according to court records.
Some Internet postings have suggested the killings should be treated as a hate crime em>>(as it would be if the circumstances were reversed ie; white on black - remember the young white lives ruined in the "Duke Rape Case".) But bullshit artist, and poor excuse for a Police Chief, Sterling Owen said: "We have no evidence to support the notion that this was a race-based crime. We see this as a cold-blooded murder." Yeah, right!

The murdererous black rascists, Lemaricus Davidson, 25; his brother, Letalvis Cobbins, 24; George Thomas, 24; and Cobbins' former girlfriend, Vanessa Coleman, 18, are charged with murder. A fifth defendant, Eric Boyd, 34, is being held on a federal charge of being an accessory after the fact, accused of helping Davidson.

More than a dozen e-mails to the Cleveland Plain Dealer in recent weeks have raised similar concerns, reader representative Ted Diadiun said. "Why are you guys covering this up?" they ask.

Diadiun said that based on the AP stories, it appeared that the crime was horrible but not substantially different from ones that "regrettably occur all over the country every day." what a freaking coward!
Glenn Reynolds, a University of Tennessee law professor who operates Instapundit, a current events blog, said he was branded an apologist after he wrote that he had seen no evidence the killings were a hate crime. These people make me want to vomit!
However, he said: "I think it is totally true if the races of the perpetrators and the victims were reversed, the press would make a bigger deal about it. I think some people have been hanging back for fear of inflaming things." what, a little guilt admission?" - and then the reversal of cowardice - But I can't say that this one would have had any more coverage if five whites had been accused of doing these things to two blacks, - who the hell is he kidding? absent a blatant racial motive," he said. "As bad as this crime is, the apparent absence of any interest group involvement or any other 'angle' might also explain the lack of coverage."
That dumb fuck ought to made to suffer the same torture as those kids!
White folks of America, you're on your own !

No Bailouts !

That's the mantra of, according to some pollsters, at least 50% of taxpaying American Citizen voters these days.

The anger "mad as hell and ain't gonna take it any more" attitude is because of the Governments bailing out of Corporations who have made serious mistakes due to lack of oversight, corruption or just downright sloppy governance.

CEO's are being let off the hook for corporate malfeasance and just not doing their job, claiming they were'nt aware and then receiving huge severance packages when they leave instead of having to forfeit them when the company goes down leaving the tax payer on the hook..
Then there's the corporate welfare thing where perfectly healthy companies are getting tax payer subsidies.
And then the biggy. "income redistribution" or the Robin Hood rip off where you, as a financially successful citizen, is legally ripped off, where your hard earned wealth is stolen from you with risk of imprisonment, and given to those who pay little or no taxes at all because their vision of the American Dream is viewed a little differently and skewed more to the model of Cuba, the Soviet Union or China.

Throw in the disfuctional Congress it's self and you've got poo!

Many of these riled Americans are thinking third party. And to many, independant Presidential candidate and Constitutionalist Ron Paul is looking pretty good!

Obamas Dangerous Mind

Subject: McCain's dangerous choice

Dear MoveOn member, Don't insult me ! Today is John McCain's 72nd birthday.Happy Birthday ! If elected, he'd be the oldest president ever inaugurated.- So what! experience in life is a good thing! And after months of slamming Barack Obama for "inexperience," That's a good thing too ! here's who John McCain has chosen to be one heartbeat , crass ! (but we've come to expect this type of behaviour from the liberals)..away from the presidency: a right-wing religious conservative who is a devout believer in the 2nd Ammendment (dead shot) with no foreign policy experience, which Obamalamadingdong has absolutely none as well! who until recently was mayor of a town of 9,000 people.and of course, Osamabama has never run anything except his mouth!Osamabama is a Junior Senator of four years in which he spent 3 of them running for President - God Help Us All !Governor / Mayor / Vice President to be Palin has 13 years of Executive experience Osamabama has none, zilch! Plus, she can outshoot and more than likely kick his ass with a baby on her hip any day of the week!Huh?Who is Sarah Palin? Here's some basic background: You'd be wiser to ask - Who is Barak Hussein Obama ?
She was elected Alaska 's governor a little over a year and a half ago. Her previous office was mayor of Wasilla, a small town outside Anchorage.1
He is a product of the, (which some say is corrupt beyond belief) "Chicago Political Machine" - need I say More?
Palin is strongly anti-choice, opposing abortion even in the case of rape or incest.2

Obama is a memeber of the rascist, black militant Trinity universal Church of Christ in South Side Chicago which, until the purge, was run for 20 long, white bashing years by the black radical Jeremiah Wright whose pal Lewis Farakhan of the Muslim, radical, rascist, anti Semite, and dangerously Militant Nation Of Islam. whew, that's a mouthful of nasty isn't it ?
She supported right-wing extremist Pat Buchanan for president in 2000.
He Associated both professionally and socially with felonious anarchist
William Ayers of the Underground Weathermen who was and said.,
"Leader of the 1960s and 70s domestic terrorist group Weatherman
"Kill all the rich people. ... Bring the revolution home. Kill your parents."
Participated in the bombings of New York City Police Headquarters in 1970, of the Capitol building in 1971, and the Pentagon in 1972
Currently a professor of education at the University of Illinois

Palin thinks creationism should be taught in public schools.4
Obamalama embraces "black liberation theology" beliefs such as the "debt" the U.S. "owes" all blacks for slavery espoused Jeremiah Wright !
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=72149

She's doesn't think humans are the cause of climate change.5
Only ignorant, uninformed fools believe that!

She's solidly in line with John McCain's "Big Oil first" energy policy. She's not stupid or pandering and realizes that we need it all energy resources and this is no time to go looking for another socialised piggy bank fall guy like the tobacco industry was/is for legalised corporate raiding (piracy) !She's pushed hard for more oil drilling and says renewables won't be ready for years, which they won't ! She also sued the Bush administration for listing polar bears as an endangered species—because they are not an endangered species! she was worried it would interfere with more oil drilling in Alaska.6 You libs are of the belief that keeping oil prices high has political advantages for the Demokratic Party and everyone knows it ! This is information the American people need to see. Please take a moment to forward this email to your friends and family.Absolutely, I intend to do just that!We also asked Alaska MoveOn.GeorgeSoros members what the rest of us should know about their governor. The response was striking. Here's a sample:
She is really just a mayor from a small town outside Anchorage who has been a governor for only 1.5 years, and has ZERO national and international experience.Obama has none, nada! I shudder to think that she could be the person taking that 3AM call on the White House hotline, and the one who could potentially be charged with leading the US in the volatile international scene that exists today. —Rose M., Fairbanks, AK

He is really just a half breed with issues, a huge inferiority complex and no practical executive experience, sworn to get back at white people for his mothers mistakes and the burden he (like Jeremiah Wright) had to endure as a child with a vendetta and ambitious wife!
She is VERY, VERY conservative, He is very very Liberal considered the most liberal in the Senate and far from perfect. She's a hunter and fisherwoman, and scares the hell out of the left because they know she can solidify the RIGHT! but votes against the environment again and again. The demokrats say they're for the working man but in their zeal to destroy anyone thats sucessful and creating the Anerican Dream for his/her family is destroying the same dream for others because they lay waste to the very jobs / careers of the working man - go figure ! She ran on ethics reform, but is currently under investigation for several charges involving hiring and firing of state officials. That's just more hyped lies by the Demokrats! She has NO experience beyond Alaska. —Christine B., Denali Park, AK - He has no experience beyond the streets of Chicago !
As an Alaskan and a feminist, I am beyond words at this announcement. As an American and believer in truth and against Government Corruption as Sarah Palin is it truly hurts me to know their are such America haters as yourself in America..Palin is not a feminist, and she is not the reformer she claims to be. So, who says she needs to be a rabid femiist - you, who the fuck are you ?— Karen L., Anchorage, AK

Alaskans, collectively, are just as stunned thats a lie ! as the rest of the liberal nation. She is doing well running our State, but is totally inexperienced on the national level, and you want Obama ? and very much unequipped to run the nation, if it came to that. She is as far right as one can get, which has already been communicated on the news. In our office of thirty employees (dems, republicans, and nonpartisans), not one person feels she is ready for the V.P. position.—Sherry C., Anchorage, AK - you're a sniveling turd !
She's vehemently anti-choice and doesn't care about protecting our natural resources, even though she has worked as a fisherman. You and Obamalama Hussein are Marxists and wont be happy until you'v brought down the whole ball of wax ! McCain chose her to pick up the Hillary voters, but Palin is no Hillary. WTF makes you think she ever started out to be like Hillary Clinton for christs sake?— Marina L., Juneau, AK

I think she's far too inexperienced to be in this position. I'm all for a woman in the White House, but not one who hasn't done anything to deserve it. There are far many other women who have worked their way up and have much more experience that would have been better choices. There is not any Woman with Sarahs experience in fighting and suceeding in the war on corrupt holders of the PUBLIC TRUST , especially liberal demokrat woman! This is a patronizing decision on John McCain's part-Yeah, just like Barats descision to hire Joe Biden "deadman walking'" and insulting to females everywhere that he would assume he'll get our vote by putting "A Woman" in that position.—Jennifer M., Anchorage, AK You are such a naive shallow puppet, I dont know how you even breath on your own!
So Governor Palin is a staunch anti-choice religious conservative. She's a global warming denier who shares John McCain's commitment to Big Oil. And she's dramatically inexperienced. In picking Sarah Palin, John McCain has made the religious right very happy. And he's made a very dangerous decision for our country. In the next few days, many Americans will be wondering what McCain's vice-presidential choice means. This is great, you expect John and Sarah to win already don't you? Please pass this information along to your friends and family. Thanks for all you do. –Ilyse, Noah, Justin, Karin and the rest of the team - Blah blah blah !Oh, have a nice day! Sources:
